The little star is just so stupid people know that ctrl+v is paste and such. There's little things that say the commands on the side of the keys.
I was hoping more people would post their actual keyboards, I'm interested to see all the different keyboard layouts as much as all the different keyboards themselves.
I was just thinking the other day, with all the different languages spoken here, and all the people from different countries, it'd be cool to see everyone's keyboards.
Here's mine, a fairly basic Microsoft qwerty wireless keyboard. US layout.
I can't actually think of any AWD cars that use a live axle. I can think of 4WD trucks that have live axles, but that's about it.
There are hardly any AWD cars that even have an open diff if that's what you were trying to talk about, as an open rear diff basically negates the whole AWD system...
It is NOT against the EULA to sell your license, it's just not well looked upon. You paid for it, you can resell it if you'd like. Just that once you've sold it, you can never use it again.
I wasn't talking so much about the 747, I've done plenty of craziness in an unladen 747. They are quite maneuverable. I was more talking about the ultralight, there's no way that little ultralight can keep up with a 747, even when the 747 is unloaded, at full flaps, and at stall speed. I'm not quite sure how the F-14 was flying that slow with the wings back in supersonic position either.
The original Cobra had a body based on the AC Ace (or Bristol, I've read both ways.) The Daytona had a completely new body, but the frame may have been shared. It was still part AC, but less so than the Cobra.
Classic, like late 60's mostly, although there was a probably 96 Caprice that sounded the same way. Way built up sounding. Not all the V8s were doing it, but a good share were. I dunno how else to describe it, but like, as soon as they'd let off to shift, the car was like 5 times louder.
Not sure if this should go here, or in general racing talk. It's not really racing related, so I'll post here.
Why is it that big old mostly American V8 engines are louder off throttle than they are actaully accelerating. I was in town the other night, and there's always cruising on weekends. A lot of the cars would accelerate, and be fairly loud, but then as soon as they'd let off the throttle, they'd get two or three times louder.
I dunno if it's high backpressure exhausts causing a lot more engine braking, or what. I'm curious.
I think the actual jumps they do on the stages look cooler, just look at the yumps in the Scandanavian rallies They don't go as high but they're going a heck of a lot faster than he was for that stunt.
Having just driven a manual transmission BMW 335i, there is most definitely lag, it certianly not a huge amount but it's definitely there. Driving along in 4th, and then standing on it, there's definitely a half second hesitation before the turbos hit. It's not like a N/A car, but it's the least laggy turbo car I've ever driven.
